Theatre Royal Wakefield has been granted planning permission to build a brand new state of the art extension on land adjacent to the historic building.

The new extension is set to include facilities such as a split level foyer with bar and café areas, new box office facilities, lift access to all levels, education suite and a brand new state of the art studio space to house small scale experimental work.

Every time you book a ticket for an event at Theatre Royal Wakefield you can support our fundraising to make the development a reality.

Play Your Part with a Pound allows you to support the capital development campaign by making a voluntary donation of £1 with each ticket purchased. This is already included in our advertised prices and is a simple, yet hugely effective way of showing your support for Theatre Royal Wakefield. Anyone can play their part: businesses, groups or individuals - and don't forget to gift aid it if you're a UK taxpayer.

So far, through the support of the play your part with a pound project, we have managed to raise a total of...
£144,219.90
Thanks to everybody who has contributed their support.

* amount correct to 14 July 2008.

To make your donation go further please gift aid it.

Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further.

This means that £100 can be turned into £128, just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid.

Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

So if you want your donation to go further, click here for a form to Gift Aid it.
